Green Peas

The pea is most commonly the small spherical seed or the seed-pod of the pod fruit Pisum sativum. Each pod contains several peas, which can be green or yellow. Pea pods are botanically a fruit, since they contain seeds and develop from the ovary of a (pea) flower.

  1. Tonify the spleen, pancreas, and stomach Strengthen digestion.
  2. Reduce the effect of an overworked, excessive liver.
  3. Reduce vomiting, hiccups, belching, and coughing.
  4. Also helpful for constipation (they moisten the bowels).
